Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is an indie-pop artist, I haven't analysed one of her music videos nor have I analysed a magazine advert by her.

Panel one of the digipak (the front cover) is a close up of the artist, her eyes are closed and her hair all around her in some kind of motion that's been photographed, this makes the album (and her) look whimsical and a little bit magical because of the high key lighting used on the top of her head that looks almost halo like. This presents the artist as freeing/freed and suggests her music is the same, a clear expression of herself. The background is in shallow focus putting emphasis on her and once again creating a kind of fairytale like image, also shown through the white costume she has on (white connotes innocence).
The back cover (panel two) features her song titles once again using a shallow focus on the background to emphasise the songs and also to create a kind of blurred out pretty image of some kind of lights linking to the album title 'Bright lights'. The text reflects this as it's golden coloured and looks like it's glowing against the background, this creates the idea that her music is lighting up the words and expresses the creativity within her music. The text is sans serif and all upper-case (increasingly conventional as I move through the digipaks) this creates a style for her and also accentuates her use of a golden font to create the image of the text lighting up, this reflects the album name and creates a style for her album to separate it from other albums out there.
Panel three features the CD itself, the CD features the same gold text of the artists name and the album title as would seem conventional, the writing still appears to shine on the CD and stands out despite the bright background. The CD is bright yellow in colour the colour we of course perceive light in most forms to be (candle flames, lightbulbs all yellow) this brings up the idea of her music lighting up the CD and again expresses her creativity as an artist. It also helps to accentuate the golden lettering and keep the style of the album on the inside of the digipak as well as the outside.
