Treatment
Today we began to solidfy some of our plans for locations/actors/costume/props, thus we begin our treatment. We've laid done some ideas as definite however we'll continually look out for and consider new locations that might work better than our original ideas.
Location//Setting
We plan to have two main settings for our music video, the bedroom and the forest. These two settings are going to be very different, the bedroom will be very dark and dingy with beer bottles and cigarettes and such laid about the place however since the woods is a reference to a fairytale it needs to be much lighter and to an extent magical looking. It needs to be very stereotypically fairytale and for this reason we need a location with natural lighting and with room to walk around, so the the trees are not packed too tightly to walk around and film in.
Actors//Characters
![]() 1We chose to use Stephss bedroom to film in for ease of access (it's close to the sixth form and will not require much travelling) and also has the space we need to film in. I think the size of the room will mean we can play around with mise en scene more to make that element more complex and it allows us to use a range of camerawork. Using a bedroom scene will connote domesticity and help us better juxtapose the artists home life with her fantasy life. | ![]() 2This is the forest location used in our thriller opening from AS. We thought this could be a good path to use but eventually decided it wasn't extensive enough. | ![]() 3We're going to film our forest scene in Shouldham Forest, the use of a forest connotes the typical fairytale location, since they're one of the most common fairytale setting (as seen in Red Riding Hood and Snow White, the fairytales we're referencing). I believe the forest will give us a sense of mystery and allow us to create the darker element within her fantasy world whilst still keeping a mystical quality to the place. |

We have two characters in our music video; the artist and her love interest/antagonist. Whilst she will be taking the role of herself/red riding hood the male will be taking the role of the wolf/potentially her boyfriend. We considered two males for the role of the wolf, our back up was chosen because the original choice couldn't make scheduling for the filming work.
![]() Dion Gunn - The ArtistDion was chosen because she's the artist and is the best to express her music and present her ideas and herself. | ![]() James Daniels - First Choice (Wolf)James was the first choice for the wolf because he has a bigger stature which was what we wanted for the wolf, he also has a fair amount of facial fair that would help us link him with the wolf. However due to scheduling conflicts he was unable to make filming. | ![]() Alfie Knight - Back up (Wolf)Alfie was the back up in case we couldn't arrange something with our first choice, his hair we think will be easy to make look more wolf-like almost like a kind of mane. He's agreed to try to grow his facial hair out so we can use that as a link between him and the wolf. Unfortunately Alfie dropped out of filming at last minute and we had to find another male to play the character of the wolf. |

![]() Connor McNamaConnor was our last choice as a wolf after we lost our back up of Alfie. |
Costumes
We needed our costume to be very distinctive and unique compared to other artists since indie artist each have their own look/style that represents them and their music. Since costumes are a part of an artists iconography is was a key element for us to get the costume right.

Props
We plan on using an array of props to help get across messages and further the artists representation, they'll also be another reference to another fairy tale 'Snow White' sticking with the themes of fairytales to relate to her religious views/beliefs. As with her religion/god she's in a fairytale kind of place due to the comfort it provides her. However the video will also showcase how this can harm religious people.

Fonts
Steph independently did some potential font designs, she did two pages of potential fonts we could use. They're largely decorative to represent the fairytale element to the music video.
