Photo Shoot Skills
In today's lesson we were taught basic photo shoot skills for us to put into practise when doing our shoot for the magazine advert. We learnt about the three point lighting set up and about framing our shots with the use of the "Rule of Thirds" a template for the framing of photographs.
This videos explains the basic set up of three point lighting using the key light, fill light and the backlight.
Rule of Thirds is essentially laying a nine square grid over an image to help the photographer frame the image and create a focus point for the image. There are four focal points using this framing; top left, top right, bottom left and bottom right. Examples of photos with each of the focal points are shown below in the gallery.
